AI 101 - Back to Basics: RPA, ML, AI — Untangling the Acronym Soup

If you read my first AI 101 post, you’ll remember I warned: don’t confuse robotic process automation (RPA) and machine learning (ML) with AI.  Today, we’re going to unpack that and add a bit of history because, in the legal and compliance world, understanding when a technology emerged and what it actually does can save you time, money, and a few grey hairs. Although I was a Chief Legal & Compliance Officer for many years, what I write here is useful for any leader to know so, if I had you at hello, don't turn back.
